Downtown Cincinnati x Wyatt and Rowan

Katie (@sycamorekate) and her sons Wyatt (4.5 years) and Rowan (20 months) love exploring the Findlay Market in Cincinnati's revitalized Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. We cover their latest exploration in their favorite Spring Kira outfits! 

What are your favorite spots in your neighborhood?

Our family lives in downtown Cincinnati! Riding the streetcar to our city's historic Findlay Market is one of our favorite things to do on the weekends. This indoor/outdoor farmers' market is full of local produce, exotic meats, hand -ground spices, craft beers, and yummy treats - truly something for everyone! Our kids always ask for an authentic Belgium waffle from A Taste of Belgium, they make them right in front of you and are served warm! So delicious!
 

What are your favorite things to do here? 

Findlay Market is a treat for the senses and we are always sure to start our visits with a slow lap around the market, saying hello to our neighbors and taking in the season's local offerings. We will then typically grab lunch (and in the summer, a local beer in the Biergarten) before grabbing our groceries. And with two active little boys in tow, there's no way we can leave before hitting up the playground! It makes for a perfect outing; both productive and fun!

What makes this location unique to your neighborhood?

Findlay Market is located in Cincinnati's revitalize Over-the-Rhine neighborhood and is truly one-of-a-kind! Of course today many cities have open-air markets but considering Findlay first opened in 1855 it is truly a historic gem (it was even added to the National Registrar of Historic Places in 1972). It is colorful and vibrant, with such a beautiful, diverse energy. The market is committed to empowering local farmers and artisans, it brings people together and encourages human connection. What's not to love?!

Lastly, what do you think about the new Kira collection?

Our Kira Kids pieces are perfect! The fun prints are so cute and unique, but the clothes are also soft and fit comfortably, a must for two little boys on the move! We love to mix-and-match the pieces all year long!
