"Being a mama and a small business owner is such a great combination. I get to make my own schedule and I have the flexibility to make time for my daughter's ever-changing schedule. There are a handful of things that are also really tough about this too, of course. One thing that has been tough is feeling isolated. I work from home, and I don't have a ton of mom friends who have a similar schedule to me. That was until I became close with Delbarr Moradi and Em the Gem. Both of them run their own photography businesses and after working together on Glitter Guide projects we all became very close and started to grow our families. It's been amazing, and we have worked out our schedules so that we all have Fridays off to schedule playdates with our kids. We call it our 'Friday Funday.' Many times we like to all meet in Los Altos, CA — there are tons of super kid-friendly places to hang out." - @TAYLORSTERLING
Manresa Bread271 State Street Los Altos, CA 94022 We like to start off at Manresa Bread and grab a coffee and some sweet treats for the kiddos. They love the Monkey Bread and croissants. Linden Tree Children's Books265 State St. Los Altos, CA 94022 Right next door to Manresa Bread is Linden Tree Books. It's an awesome bookstore for kids. We always get suckered into buying them new books when we're there. |
Bumble Cafe145 1st St. Los Altos, CA 94022 For lunch we usually head to Bumble. It's a super kid-friendly restaurant with yummy food. The kids can run wild and play in the sandbox out front, too.
Kira Kids240 Plaza Central Los Altos, CA 94022 Naturally, we love Kira Kids and always make sure to stop in for a few new things!
